Virtual Intern Alumni Success Story – Kellie Rowan

Kellie Rowan joined Braathe Enterprises as a virtual intern when she was attending Villanova University.  She spend four months with us doing research and learning more about business and how to work with initiative and limited direction from management.  We met weekly via Skype to discuss assignments as well as her future career goals in the creative field.

As she progressed through her program, she informed us she was transferring to Loyola Marymount and seeking opportunities to intern in New York.  We provided her with some interview prep as well as recommendations on connections to make and networking ideas.

Today, we are happy to report that since completing our internship program, Kellie has gone on to do two internships with Sony Pictures, one as a Digital Production Intern in New York and currently as a Creative Services intern in Los Angeles.

Robert was a great person to work for. He really took the time to make sure I was learning and getting what I wanted out of the internship. I was really impressed by the general website work he did, but more so of his understanding of business. He knew how to present clients online and on social media sites to promote their business in ways I never would have thought of.

Virtual Intern Alumni Success Story – Amanda McCloskey

Amanda McCloskey, alumni of the Braathe Enterprises Saratoga College Virtual Internship Program, recently graduated from Penn State University and was seeking opportunities in Public Relations.  We were delighted to hear from her today that she was selected to join Goldin Solutions in New York City.

Goldin Solutions is a rapidly expanding PR agency serving prominent clients that specializes in public affairs, crisis management and corporate communications for clients internationally www.goldinsolutions.com. The position is an entry-level public relations position in which there will be a lot of assisting other co-workers on managing different aspects of certain clients. This is a great position to grow and learn in a fast paced results driven environment. Some of the day-to-day tasks include:

Assisting with publicity materials and office/administrative work

Building media lists

Social Media monitoring

Coordinating press mailings

Monitoring press clips

Conducting research and fact-checking for press materials

Working on special projects and events
